Dr. Gaines W. Hammond, MD is a board-certified Urologist and Surgeon. He is recognized as a highly accomplished proficient Urologic Surgeon, serial inventor and founder of numerous companies. He has demonstrated a high level of leadership skills in healthcare startups as well as Surgical Services transformation projects in large existing organizations. He created and lead 3 companies to a successful IPO. He is recognized with design and development with Regulatory approval of the first US non-bathtub Shockwave Lithotripter. Doing away with the "bathtub ESWL" is an example of how he thinks. He created a novel Ultrasound articulation and localization technique which allowed for the treatment of the first US Biliary Lithotripsy procedure at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. He has lectured throughout the US, Europe and the Middle East on a variety or novel medical advancements. Dr. Hammond is focused on the quality of life in his patients. He enjoys creating novel medical device to help his Urologic patients.
