Dr. Zhou attended medical school in his native country of China. In 1991 he moved to Florida and attended the University of Miami School of Medicine Research program in the department of Physiology and Molecular Biology. He completed his surgical training at the University of Pennsylvania in 1996 and his urological training at the University of Nebraska in 2002. He is certified by the American Board of Urology. Dr. Zhou joined Pinellas Urology in 2002. His arrival added to the already progressive approach of the Urology practice with his training in laparoscopic and neurostimulators. He began specializing in InterStim Therapy for the treatment of urinary control. Dr. Zhou is the Chief of the Department of Surgery at HCA Florida Northside Hospital in St. Petersburg and is Chairman of the Department of Surgery at HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital.
